In the US, monarch butterfly numbers have declined by 80-90% in the last two decades. The decline is largely due to glyphosate herbicides sprayed on GM herbicide-tolerant crops wiping out the monarch larvae’s food, milkweed, along with all other “weeds”. Read more.
