The big news of the week, of course, has been President Trump and the First Lady have both tested positive for COVID. The President has been hospitalized. President Trump’s doctor said that Trump’s diagnosis was confirmed using the PCR test. Just like virtually every other ‘confirmed case’ we hear reported. But was PCR really developed with the intention of diagnosing infectious diseases? Is PCR capable of diagnosing infectious diseases?
