Former Pro-GMO Scientist Speaks Out on the Real Dangers of Genetically Engineered Food
Posted May 29, 2013
Who better to speak the truth about the risks posed by genetically modified (GM) foods than Thierry Vrain, a former research scientist for Agriculture Canada? It was Vrain’s job to address public groups and reassure them that GM crops and food were safe, a task he did with considerable knowledge and passion. But Vrain, who once touted GM crops as a technological advancement indicative of sound science and progress, has since started to acknowledge the steady flow of research coming from prestigious labs and published in high-impact journals; research showing that there is significant reason for concern about GM crops – and he has now changed his position. Genetic Testing for Breast Cancer and Radical Mastectomy – Are Women Being Misled Into a False Sense of Security?
Posted May 29, 2013
Some days I wonder if this is all a bad dream. How on earth have we come to this craziness? The latest and greatest “preventative” strategy for women genetically predisposed to breast cancer is amputation, which puts the wheels in motion for this type of “preventive surgery” to be covered by health insurance. I’m referring, of course, to Angelina Jolie’s recent and very public decision to undergo a double mastectomy as a prophylactic measure. While she admits this is a very personal decision, the impacts to the public could be quite significant based on her celebrity influence. Read more.
Your Honey Isn’t Honey
Posted May 29, 2013
I’d known about the fake “honey” they serve in single-serving packets at restaurants and cafeterias. That’s because I read the ingredients label. Almost all of them fessed up to being what they are — honey-flavored corn syrup. But I didn’t know that the vast majority of the major labels of honey sold in the U.S. aren’t real honey. Read more.

Why Raw Milk?
Posted May 28, 2013
Good morning, this is the Lew Rockwell Show. And how great to have as our guest this morning, Mr. Mark McAfee. Mark has been involved in organic – I would say, truly organic dairy farming, his family, since the 1950s. He’s CEO of Organic Pastures Dairy Company in Fresno. He’s a champion of raw milk and other raw dairy products, as being good for the customer and good for the cows, too. I know he doesn’t give his cows any hormones or antibiotics or GMOs, and uses sort of naturopathic ways of treating them. It’s known as a healthy cow herd. Listen (or read) here.
