The first commercially available gene-edited food is now on the market, but consumers won’t know where it’s being sold or if they’ve eaten food that contains it. The product, a gene-edited soybean oil created by biotech company Calyxt, was picked up by its first user — a Midwest company with both restaurant and foodservice locations, which is using it for frying as well as in dressings and sauces. Smell, Our Most Underestimated Sense
Posted April 26, 2019

“Organic” Hydroponic Operations Allowed to Spray Glyphosate on the Soil
Posted April 26, 2019
“Organic” hydroponic production is a form of factory farming: the ground is leveled, compacted, and often covered with plastic, while plant roots bathe in synthetic nutrients or are supported by sterile substrates like gravel or coconut coir. The rows and rows of identical indoor plants resemble the worst of livestock production where hens are crammed into battery cages or cattle are packed into barren feed lots—all unable to touch real soil or live natural lives. Weston Price is the Most Important Study Ever?
Posted April 26, 2019
Weston Price was a Canadian dentist who was interested in tooth decay, as rates were rapidly increasing in the industrial nations, among other western diseases like tuberculosis. He began to theorize that tooth decay was largely the result of a poor diet. The 1930s were a unique time as there were still many people living a ‘traditional’ or ‘primitive’ lifestyle. Long Term Consequences of Mumps Vaccination: Many Unanswered Questions
Posted April 26, 2019
It has been about five decades since the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Merck’s first mumps vaccine. Magnesium Stearate, Supplements, and Safety
Posted April 19, 2019
Magnesium stearate is a tableting ingredient found in a great many vitamin pills. It is often vilified by those who stand to profit from your buying their much more costly product. Let’s be chemically clear on this: magnesium stearate is two stearic acid molecules coupled to one atom of magnesium. Stearic acid naturally occurs in cocoa, meat, flaxseed oil, chicken, eggs, cheese, walnuts, salmon, palm oil, olive oil and coconut oil. You cannot tell me that all those foods are harmful. And magnesium is VERY good for you, and the majority of Americans do not get even the RDA of this essential mineral. Read more.
