A major part of achieving optimal health is living in partnership with nature. Growing your own food is a great way to rekindle this connection with nature. But have you thought about eating plants that grow wild—perhaps in your own backyard? Some “weeds” can be delicious if prepared properly, and they are absolutely free. Read more.

PFAS: The latest toxic concern for those near fracking
For more than a decade, Bryan Latkanich has discussed his concerns about fracking chemicals contaminating the water and air near his home with anyone who would listen. Latkanich is a resident of Washington County, Pennsylvania, one of the state’s most heavily fracked regions. In 2020, an Environmental Health News investigation found evidence that Latkanich and his son Ryan had been exposed to harmful chemicals like benzene, toluene and styrene. Now, researchers have uncovered more harmful substances in Latkanich’s tap water —“forever chemicals.” Read more.
New Study: Tea and Coffee for Brain Health
Researchers found that tea and coffee consumption was associated with lower dementia and stroke risk. The study looked at 365,682 individuals aged 50-74 years old, and found that people who drank 2-3 cups of coffee or 3-5 cups of tea per day, or a combination of 4-6 of coffee and tea, had the lowest incidence of dementia and stroke. Tea and coffee drinkers had a 32 percent lower risk of stroke and 28 percent lower risk of dementia. Read more.
Organic Chicken Fraud
While pretending to score a victory for real organic eggs and poultry, a new rule is just another gift to industrialized farms that are running regenerative farms out of business. Action Alert! The USDA’s rule, known as the Organic Livestock and Poultry Standards rule, is being applauded by some because it would set standards for outdoor and indoor living requirements for poultry, in effect prohibiting what are referred to as “porches”—small, screened in enclosures that allow CAFOs to game the organic system. But this is smoke and mirrors. There are far more problems with the rule that allow the status quo to continue. We must urge the USDA to do much, much better. Read more.
Cancer Moonshot — Good Idea or Pharma Giveaway?
Why pinning our hopes on developing costly new drug treatments for cancer and other diseases is not effective or sustainable. Last week, on the 60th anniversary of President Kennedy’s proposal to send someone to the moon, President Biden touted his Cancer Moonshot initiative. The initiative was officially re-launched in February of this year, when President Biden called on Congress to fund his effort to reduce cancer mortality by 50 percent in the next 25 years. Rat Feeding Study Suggests the Impossible Burger May not be Safe to eat
The Impossible Burger is a plant-based burger, the key ingredient of which is a protein called soy leghemoglobin (SLH for short), derived from genetically modified (GM) yeast. It’s already being sold in restaurants and supermarkets in the US. In 2019 the manufacturing company, Impossible Foods, applied for permission to market the burger in the EU and the UK. However, the results of a rat feeding study commissioned by Impossible Foods and carried out with SLH suggest that the burger may not be safe to eat. Read more.
Blood “Clots” Removed from Dead Bodies
Some of the strongest evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines have caused crippling injuries and huge numbers of deaths in the vaccinated population have come from funeral home directors who have reported huge spikes in deaths in their business that correlate with the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccines and mandates. Phillips Ventilators and BiPAP and CPAP and Breathing Machines Recalled Due to Health Risks
On Aug. 16, 2022 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an update on a June 2021 recall of certain ventilators, BiPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure), and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) breathing machines manufactured by Philips Respironics because of “potential health risks.”1 A list of the recalled devices made between 2009 and April 26, 2021 can be found here. 1323 Athlete Cardiac Arrests, Serious Issues, 900 Dead, After COVID Injection
It is definitely not normal for so many mainly young athletes to suffer from cardiac arrests or to die while playing their sport, but this year it is happening. Many of these heart issues and deaths come shortly after they got a COVID vaccine. While it is possible this can happen to people who did not get a COVID vaccine, the sheer numbers clearly point to the only obvious cause. Read more.
Autism Can Be a Growth Market
The title of this article should make everyone cringe. It is borrowed from an even more cringeworthy title of an article by David Feshbach that recently appeared in Barron’s financial magazine… “Autism Can Be a Growth Market, if Investors Help Scale It Up.” Clearly, there is an expectation that the autism epidemic of the past 30-plus years will continue to grow and, consequently, so will the opportunities for businesses that provide treatments (mostly drugs) for those affected by this neurological disorder.
