The US Department of Agriculture has approved a “field trial” of over 250,000 genetically modified eucalyptus in the Southeast. The field trials are being conducted by ArborGen, a notorious biotechnology entity owned by the “Big Three” paper multinationals: International Paper, MeadWestvaco, and Rubicon. Whole Foods Market Adopts Policy on USDA Certified Personal Care Products

Whole Foods Market became the first retail chain to adopt an organic integrity policy for health and beauty products sold in its stores. By June 1, 2011, all organic claims on personal care products sold at Whole Foods will have to be backed up by third-party certification to USDA organic standards. Read full article.

FTC Expands Kellogg’s Claims Settlement

FTC announced a settlement with Kellogg Co. concerning immune health claims the company was making for its Rice Krispies cereal.
