When we say Strep infection, we usually are speaking of an infection caused by the group A beta hemolytic strain of streptococci or streptococcus pyogenes. EU Approves Controversial Bayer-Monsanto Merger

The European Union approved Bayer’s takeover of Monsanto, a major hurdle in the $66 billion merger that would create the world’s largest integrated seed and pesticide conglomerate. The European Commission said the German chemical-maker’s takeover of the St. Louis-based agribusiness giant is “conditional on an extensive remedy package, which addresses the parties’ overlaps in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture.” Read more.

Harrell and colleagues, in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (1), showed that high doses of vitamins improved intelligence and educational performance in learning disabled children, including those with Down syndrome. Though to many observers this seemingly came straight out of left field, Dr. Harrell, who had been investigating vitamin effects on learning for forty years, was not inventing the idea of megavitamin therapy in one paper.
