In 2012, Dr. Lundell wrote an article that was published in Prevent Disease. Lundell shares his newfound understanding that a healthy lifestyle which includes natural, whole and unprocessed foods is what prevents and reverses heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease. In his powerful confession, Lundell recalls his two and a half misguided decades as a cardiac surgeon, where he prescribed cholesterol-lowering medications and recommended a low-fat diet. He admits that he has realized the error of his ways. Lundell has since stopped practicing and has dedicated his career to heart disease prevention. Read more.

How Many Almonds are in a Glass of Almond Milk?
Posted March 30, 2018
Thousands of people have tried one or more of the various alternative-to-cow’s-milk offerings that have been proliferating on store shelves over the last several years, including rice milk, coconut milk, soy milk (which has its own issues) — even hemp and flax milks. As nut milks go, there’s hazelnut and cashew milk, but arguably the most popular is almond milk. A Polar Plunge Can Provide Lasting Relief from Pain
Posted March 23, 2018
Could taking a swim in cold water be a viable solution for pain relief? It was for one man, a 28-year-old who was suffering from severe, persistent pain after receiving surgery for excessive facial flushing. The surgery involves cutting nerves in the chest, and while it served its purpose for the facial flushing, it left the man — a former triathlete — dealing with debilitating chronic pain.1 Conventional pain treatments did little to help, and the pain was made worse by movement so physical therapy was of no use. “Desperate to get some relief,” he told the BBC he decided to go for a swim in a cold body of open water. He figured the cold swim would be a “long shot” to help his pain, but he took the plunge anyway, climbing to the top of a rocky outcrop and then jumping into the frigid water.2 He stayed in the water for only about a minute, and when he got out he was pain free. ACIP Voting on a New Vaccine
Posted March 23, 2018
This is how brand new vaccines are approved to the pediatric immunization schedule. Basic dialogue before they voted: Q: Is it dangerous to use this vaccine with other vaccines? A: We have no data on that.
Once approved, it will be given along with other vaccines but we have no clue whether that’s safe or not. Q: Do we at least have any data from other countries that used this vaccine in combination with other vaccines? A: Nope Sounds good to me. Lets vote yes! Only after they vote, one guy voices concern over 16 heart attack deaths in the safety trials. View here.
